Prime Tweed autumn salmon fishings up for auction

River TweedSome of Britain’s best autumn salmon angling is catalogued in the 2013 Annual Auction in aid of the Tweed Foundation. 35 lots covering 28 beats are on offer including prime fishings between August and November on many of the Tweed’s most illustrious beats. Guide prices range from £1500 down to £120.

The deadline for both email and postal bids is 5 pm on Thursday 27th June with the auction taking place the following day.

Nick Yonge, Director of the Tweed Foundation, said: “Once again our auction, which is entirely dependent on the great generosity of Tweed proprietors, provides many opportunities to fish some of Tweed’s top beats as well as lesser known gems – many of which are seldom available on the open market. All the money raised provides vital support for the conservation work of the Foundation which helps to ensure future Tweed salmon runs”.
